Sprint Prints! December {Printables & Craftivity}... and a GROWING Bundle!!

And just like that, Thanksgiving is almost here and it's been two weeks since I last stopped in.  Time sure does FLY by!  More proof at how fast it goes: my baby girl is FIVE months old today!!  Five!!!  Le sigh.

In other news... :)

I have been working on a new series of products, and I'm finally ready to share the first installment!  Let me introduce you to... Sprint Prints!  {I can't take credit for the title... my hubby was helping me think of something catchy, and out popped Sprint Prints!}

These themed printables are great to grab in a pinch! Fast finishers, morning work, time-fillers... however you use them, your kiddos are sure to love these activities! Included are 15 fun printables to keep your students engaged during the month of December. There is also a BONUS present craftivity inside!!
Skills covered include: graphing, subtraction, place value, ordinal numbers, writing, plurals, syllables, color words, rhyming, and more!
There are three options for the writing portion of the craftivity, plus a blank prompt for you to title how you choose!  And if you're wondering how I chose the font for, "All I Want for Christmas," it was all Summer.  She slammed her hand on the clicker while I was font surfing... and I liked her choice!!

If you are interested in grabbing a copy of Sprint Prints! December or just want to learn more, head to my little TpT shop!

I also included this pack of December printables in my new Growing Bundle:

The Growing Bundle currently includes the months of November and December... but will eventually include printables and craftivities for ALL 12 months!  It's priced to SAVE, too!  It's 20% less than the total price of all 12 months combined... AND less the price of November, so it's like getting November for free!

Some of you might already own November's version, because I made it last year under the name "Just Print It!"  I decided to change the name and include it in the Sprint Prints Growing Bundle.  That's why I made November's pack free if you decide to buy the bundle and already have November... make sense?!  I hope so!!  :) :)

Well, I hope you LOVE this new product series!!  Leave a comment below for a chance to win the BUNDLE!  I will choose a winner TONIGHT at 10pm EST.  Good luck {and don't forget to include your email address}! Congrats to #22, Melissa!

Classroom Reveal 2014-2015... Finally!

Well, it's about time!!!  It's November 4th and I have yet to post pictures of my classroom!  Long story short, our school was having work done {new windows!} and teachers only had TWO days-- yes, two-- to get our rooms in order.  And, I haven't felt that it was complete until now.  Sort of.  So with our further ado... my room :)

I had this bulletin board up at the beginning of last year with every intention of changing it monthly... that never happened!  Now it's a permanent staple in front of my room {Wall #1}:
Below the board are my cubbies/mailboxes.  On top of those you can see my Sparklers {table points} and Secret Star incentives!

Right next to my cubby area I have some other little management tools and a space for making and displaying anchor charts:
Everything you see here is from my TpT shop...

Next to the space above, I have open chalkboard space for writing.  If you keep going along the board, you'll land here:
This is where I display jobs, classroom rules, and our behavior chart.

Another look at the rules/clip chart:
And a wider look at this space:
The wall leads to our calendar area which you'll see in the next couple pics.  On the shelf I keep baskets filled with various handouts for the week.  Inside the cubbies are our center bins and student book boxes:
Moving back up, here is my calendar board {Wall #2}:
At the suggestion of my Insta friends, I put a banner in the blank space above the month.  I think it looks fabulous!! Thanks, friends :)

Now for a picture of the full bulletin board:
As you can see, the other half of the board is our focus wall:
I *love* this set!  The headers and objectives were just what I needed to create an eye-catching focus board.  I hole-punched the objectives and hung them using binder rings.  Maybe one day I will put up Science and Social Studies standards... but today was not that day, ha.

Onto my "teacher nook," which you can see in the above pictures.  This is the wall above my desk, edited a little bit to keep names private:

My memo board is cluttered and it's fantastic!  I love my space... especially the photo of my girl in front of the computer :)
Pink overload! :)

Moving along, we come to our birthday board, which I also edited to be free of names:

It has to be cupcakes to be a proper birthday display :)  And isn't the banner too cute?!

Now we have reached the sink area:
Tissues fit perfectly on the middle shelves, and I keep bottles of soap and "hanitizer" in the baskets on the sides!  The cabinets are filled with plates, napkins, cleaning supplies, etc.

If we skip a wall of new windows and my teacher aide's desk... we find the library {Wall #3}:
The rug and mini disc chairs are from Big Lots a few years ago, and the stools are from Ikea.  I *love* these little magnetic display shelves from Lakeshore-- they are great for displaying holiday books!  To the left is my book cart {also from Lakeshore} and center rotation:
To the right is big book storage:
We have almost made a complete circle around the room!  This is where I meet with small groups, and where my firsties keep their belongings {Wall #4}:
Behind the big doors is my student closet.  I decided to make a "Word Closet" this year and brighten up the big brown space with colorful words!  The letter cards are in my TpT shop!

The yellow table is the perfect size for my room, and for sitting with guided reading groups. I ordered it from Quill; it was reasonably priced, and came quickly.  The yellow edges and legs fit in nicely with my brightly colored classroom!
To the right of the table is an easel with chart paper, and a shelf with games/puzzles.  To the left is my filing cabinet, which doubles as a display for our weekly words and big book:
And that's my tour!  If you keep going, you will walk right out the door:
{Psst!  I won the door contest this year!!!}

I hope it was worth the two month wait! ;) Have a great night!!

Trick & Treat... Freebielicious Blog Hop!

Fall is upon us {and Halloween is just around the corner} and that means it's time for a little teacher Trick & Treat action!

That's right-- Trick AND Treat!!  I've teamed up with my Freebielicious girls once again to share a teaching trick and special free treat!  Better than candy, right?!  At least... it's better for the waistline ;)

First I will share my TRICK with you.  It's nothing crazy and it's not too fancy, but it WILL keep you from being trampled during line ups!

My kiddos love to line up on top of the classroom door.  To prevent this, I used to say, "Line up behind the black squares!" over and over. {See the funky Halloween floor pattern below.}  Most days my friends wouldn't listen, and I'd be climbing over kids to get to the door.  Until one day, I stepped into a friend's classroom and saw something like this:

Upon first glance, it's just pink duct tape blocking off a rectangle of space by the classroom door.  But if you look closely, you'll see that it's actually a MAGIC rectangle, aka The Magic Box.  Kiddos can't step into The Magic Box during line up... not without permission!  If a little one accidentally steps beyond the pink tape, another student will QUICKLY remind him/her that you cannot step into The Magic Box until the teacher says.  See?  Magic!

Now I have plenty of space to stand in the front of the line, lock the door, call the rest of the tables, pick a Secret Star, do jumping jacks, breakdance... whatever I want!

And now I will share my TREAT with you.  It's a Roll and Color Witch printable!  It should do the trick and keep your little ones entertained for a minute or two ;)

This little witchy activity coordinates with my newest craft, Little Witch Kids!  It's 20% off for the rest of the night if you're looking for something fun to do this week!

Now hop along to the next blog for another Trick & Treat goodie!!

Classroom Faces T-Shirt Giveaway!

Every once in a while,  the girls at Freebielicious discover a really awesome product for classroom teachers that is so amazing, we just have to share it with you! Today is one of those days! Get ready because we are hosting a super cute giveaway for custom classroom t-shirts from ClassroomFaces.com. We will be giving away a class set* of custom t-shirts to THREE lucky Freebielicious fans! Isn't that amazing?

These are NOT your average t-shirt designs. The people at ClassroomFaces are so creative, they found a way to print a collection of drawings from every child in the class on the set of t-shirts, to create a truly custom design! Nobody else in the world will ever have a t-shirt exactly like the one your class designs. The website may be called "Classroom Faces" but there are SO many more options for children to draw than just their face. Sample designs on the website show creative ideas using student handprints or drawings of the school mascot.

Since the Freebielicious girls are such good friends, we designed our very own set of Classroom Faces t-shirts. We enlisted the help of our talented friend (and fellow Freebie gal) Nikki from Melonheadz to create custom drawings of each of our faces. The finished t-shirts were absolutely ADORABLE! I absolutely love my new custom Freebielicious t-shirt from Classroom Faces.com.

Can you find me?? :)

About Classroom Faces

Creating a class set of t-shirts featuring your students drawings is easy. Each child just needs to create a simple drawing. To create t-shirts with one-color ink on a solid colored t-shirt (like ours) each child needs to draw their picture using a fine point black marker. The ClassroomFaces website has downloadable templates that you can use to guide your students. Full-color illustrations on a plain white t-shirt are also possible.

Extra Savings for Freebielicious Fans

Freebielicious fans that order a class set of t-shirts can save $1 on each t-shirt and receive one free teacher t-shirt with their order using promo code FREEBIE14. Orders must include 15 or more paid shirts to qualify and must be postmarked by December 31, 2014

WIN a Class Set of Custom Classroom Faces T-Shirts

Now that you have seen how ADORABLE these t-shirts are, it's your chance to try and win a set for your classroom. The wonderful people at ClassroomFaces are graciously giving away a class set* of custom t-shirts to THREE lucky Freebielicious fans! Each set is valued at over $250. Stop by the Freebielicious blog for your chance to WIN!

*Up to 24 tshirts will be included in each prize pack. Winner can choose to order a class set of traditional single-color tshirts or tshirts will full-color illustrations. Super Word Book {A Student Dictionary}

And just like that, it's been three weeks since my last post.  The beginning of the school year and being a new {and working!} momma is kicking this girl's butt.  But, I wouldn't trade any of it!  I am getting into the swing of things-- I think-- so please bare with me!!  I'll give ya a cupcake ;)

I also realized I haven't posted my classroom photos yet!  That's because our school was getting some work done {new windows/framing} and my room wasn't quite done… until this week!  So I am going to take some pics and get that post up, ASAP!

Now I'd like to share a new product with you!  I'm so excited to start using Super Word Book {A Student Dictionary} with my kiddos, and I hope you will be too!!

This pack will be an AWESOME tool for little writers!  Each Super Word Book includes 26 alphabet pages {A-Z} with the 220 Dolch words PLUS 95 nouns already listed.  Because I followed the list, some pages, like "Q" and "Z" don't have any words... YET :)  Each page has writing lines so kiddos can add their own words {primary/secondary lines available}.  At the bottom of each A-Z sheet is an extra word with a little picture… too cute!!

I also included 18 themes {two themes to a page}.  There are words for Back to School, Fall Harvest, Farm, Fire Safety, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Winter, Christmas, Valentine's Day, Dental Health, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Weather, Earth Day, Spring, Plants, Patriotic Holidays, and Summer.  Each list has blank lines for more words, and a tiny picture at the bottom.

And last but not least, there are 10 reference lists, too {two to a page}.  Word lists include Days, Months, Numbers, Ordinal Numbers, Colors, Shapes, Pronouns, Contractions, Action Verbs, and Adjectives.  Space for extra words is provided.

When you put your student dictionaries together, don't forget to add one of these cute covers!

I plan on 3-hole punching the pages and popping them into a 3-prong folder.  This way, my students can also use the folder to store writing pieces!  I left my example folder at school {womp!} so I will post a picture of it later.

If you're interested in grabbing this pack for your little ones, head over to my little TpT shop!  I really hope you love these Super Word Books as much as I do!!  Leave a little love {and your email} in a comment below, and I'll send this set to one lucky winner! Congrats to #18, Cherie!  You've got mail!

Super Word Book {A Student Dictionary} is on sale through Tuesday, September 30th!

Goodnight & sweet dreams to you!
